Karen and Bob – Wedding at Gibbet Hill

Every wedding is special – but this wedding had all the elements of a very dramatic, and wonderful wedding!   Bob is a very recently-returned Iraq veteran.  Karen is a very special mother of a precious 2 year old.  Today they officially became family.   Gibbett Hill in Groton, Ma was a very fitting venue – known for its wonderful outdoor weddings with cows mooing in the background of verdent panoramic pasture and receptions held in “the Barn” - a beautifully decorated reception hall.   Would the rain hold out?   Hurricane Bill was making his last stand in New England that very day – with the weather forecast predicting 70% chance of rain, would it hold out long enough for the pasture to become the ceremony site?   Well it did … beautiful photogenic clouds but no rain!  Not that is, until 10 minutes AFTER the ceremony!  Then within an hour, an incredible double-rainbow appeared!   What a beautiful sign of all good things to come …  Enjoy a sneak preview of some of the pictures!

The full gallery is up on my photocart - Visit the Customers link above in the menu to enter the full gallery.   You can download a free image for your Facebook / Myspace friends or order prints.   Karrie Safran was my second-shooter that day. You will see both of our images in the gallery.

Julia and Eamonn Wedding in Matunuck, RI

This was a small intimate wedding in a very small chapel – almost a cottage – in Matunuck, RI. Julia and Eamonn were married with their close friends and family in attendance. The bride arrived five minutes before the ceremony and hurriedly prepared in a side room. Eamonn was very cool and calm – and just eager to begin his new life. After the ceremony, both were just laughing and enjoying each other and their friends. From the bubbles blown, to the decorated car (that came apart on Hwy 4) to recreating “Charlie’s Angels” and “the Kissing Sailor after WWII”

A reception at the Coast Guard House in Naragansett, RI followed the formals. Take a peek at their pictures! As always, all of the images can be seen on my photocart for ordering or viewing.
