Vacation Bible School – St Isidores Stow, Ma

I always wondered what kind of kids went to a Vacation Bible School – and whatever do they do there? Well, now I don’t have to wonder – I know that the kids have fun and are very spirited and “into” the whole day. St Isidore’s asked me to come document the four days – and I’m so glad that I did. What a hoot!
I have a private gallery up on my community page to protect the kids’ privacy. If you are a parent of one of the kids, see Nancy Dome or Kathleen King for the password to the gallery.

The Big Dance arrives

Well – after much sweat and toil – the Eiffel Tower is complete – all in its 17 foot glory! At the last minute, a parent – Beth’s mom and a teacher – Ms. Chan – arrived with duct tape and dowel rods to complete the final bottom layer.

The Dance was wonderful – it is amazing how a gym can be transformed when all the kids decorate! Ben and Jerry’s catered – how special is that!!!

This is Ms. Rocha’s homeroom – I wish that I had my homeroom do the same!

Preparing for the big dance ….

Students at Hale are preparing for tomorrow’s big dance of the year – the Graduation Dance. The theme is “Midnight in Paris” and the kids have been busy creating Eiffel Towers, Photo Areas and Street Lamps – all from cardboard kits. These are all pretty sophisticated and took ingenuity, creativity and lots of glue and duct tape! Here is the before and after of the Eiffel Tower. Tomorrow I will update the blog with the final preparations and what it looked like on the day.

Several kids, not pictured here, helped with the first story of the Tower.
