Marley has arrived!

Marley Kay Teresa DeCristofaro has made her appearance! At one minute before midnight on 10/26/08, she came into this world. Marley is joined by her father, Tony (my son), her mother, Karrie and her “big” brother, Jack. Unfortunately they all live in Minnesota – so I’m going to have to wait a bit to see them in person. Tony took the pictures below: (and Marley – sweet dreams tonight!)

Marley weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz and a good 19 1/2 inches in length. They are all home now and doing fine. Jackson is very taken in with his little sister. OK, Jack, now you get to be the “big bro” and take care of her!

Brian and Mary Friendly Crossways, Harvard, Ma

Friendly Crossways in Harvard, Ma. is one of those out-of-the-way gems for wedding photography! It is a youth hostel in the rolling hills of Harvard off Rt 111. For a wedding that is right at peak foliage, one could not hope for anything more.  Harvard is about 40 miles from Boston in “Apple Country”.  It is a favorite spot for many people who leave-peep the gorgeous foliage!

Brian and Mary were both very low-key and obviously in love, surrounded by friends and family. I was hired to photograph some family portraits prior to the ceremony. I stayed for the ceremony, however, and was really glad that I did! It was a really emotional ceremony with the show almost stolen when their black Persian cat, attired in tux and hat, was brought down the aisle by one of their friends.

What a fantastic wedding ! Here are some pictures (more on my website under the View Your Event link. :

Allison and Jonathan – Mill on the River South Windsor, Ct

Friday evening – perfect weather in New England – what can be more engaging than a wedding in Connecticut at the Mill on the River in South Windsor, Ct ?

This was a particularly fun event for me to photograph as the bride is the daughter of one of my closest cousins, Sue Walker! Allison and Jonathan were married in the banquet room surrounded by friends and relatives. The DJ didn’t have to ask the guests twice to come to the dance floor – where everyone danced until the wee hours of the morning. The “Anniversary Dance” had many couples (many my cousins) with weddings of more than 30 years! Diane and Vinny “won” with 39 1/2 (the half was at Vinny’s insistence!) years.

More photos can be seen on my website on the View My Event Link.

Here are some pictures (for what’s a post without pictures?)
