The PhotoCart also has pictures of the kids in the dressing room with their new makeup and hairstyles. The Friday and Saturday performances both are posted. In Friday’s performance, I was sitting in the back with a very long lens. Saturday’s performance I was up front with a medium lens – so there are more closeups on the second day. Photocart is a link that will take you directly to the online cart to see all of the pictures and download your favorites.

The PSG (parent support group) is a very active group that supports the kids, the school and the teachers. They provide funds for enrichment programs (swing and square dancing, Museum of Science, and many more field trips and in-school activities. They also support the school store, the video club (with their wonderful morning newscasts!), the library, the school play and the school store. This is just the tip of the iceberg on what they do. Can you help? Volunteers are always welcome! In addition to volunteers, you can collect box tops, renew magazine subscriptions online (this one is a terrific way to still keep up on your magazines, get a good deal – and a portion of the money from the subscription is a direct benefit to the school. Go here and enter the account number 425005639 The PSG also recycles ink cartridges. This week there is also the “Flower Power” Bulb and Plant Sale going on. These activities and more can all be done to benefit our kids. See the Play Program for additional ways you can help.

Enjoy!

March landscapes in Infrared

It’s been awhile since I have taken any infrared photographs – and March is not quite there yet with the vivid infrared colors. NOT ! I just had my Canon Powershot A570 IS converted to infrared and wanted to try her out. Braving the 29 degree temperatures and all bundled up, I trekked to the far side of Delaney Wildlife Refuge in Stow, Ma. This is the side with the heron nests. While it’s too early to see any herons, the beauty of Delaney is still magnificent. Judge for yourself ! The barn is located on Bradley Lane near the Stow Forest.
