With temperatures in the 90′s today, it was hard to imagine that it was Spring. But Spring it is … and the season for new lambs. Today I had the distinct pleasure of being invited by Skip Warren of Pilot Grove to see his newborn lambs. Skip’s farm is one of the foremost attractions in Stow, Ma. It is a rural vista of sheep, geese, rolling hills and the inevitable evil coyote – kept at bay by a wonderful donkey. This farm has been in the family since 1782. Mr. Warren was a wonderful host explaining in detail all the love and attention he gives his newborn lambs. At the sound of his voice, all the lambs seemed to come to attention and the young ones immediately were drawn to his bottle.
