The Nashoba Regional HS Drama Group had no trouble bringing to life Dickens’ A Christmas Carol this past weekend. Ebenezer Scrooge, masterfully played by Nick Sestito, was so believable as he grumbled and “bah, humbug” ‘ged his way about. He was soon visited by his old friend and croney, Jacob Marley (Nico Hammill)… in a ghostly appearance complete with strobe light and smoke and covered in chains. Warned that he must repent his ways and that he would soon be visited by 3 ghosts, Scrooge tossed and turned. At the sound of a bell the next night, the Ghost of Christmas Past (Lizzy Cross) – all in white fur and gliding across the stage in … roller skates? She was followed by the Ghost of Christmas Present – (Taylor Leaming) – towering over the stage on stilts and carrying the most realistic torch! The final visitor – the Ghost of Christmas Future – (Dan Bolton) was all in black, did not speak and made his presence known by the most ghastly skeletal hand pointing the way … to death. Young Tiny Tim was played by the youngest Sabourin and was perfect in his role. What more can we say? A masterful performance by all ! Bravo! As always, kids and parents can view the photographs (and download free images) at my photocart. There is a button for a free download for as many pictures as the students or parents would like. Reprints and cast group photographs can be ordered as well.
