Once a year the magic descends on Stow as Santa comes to listen to the kids on his knee. What fun to be behind the camera capturing these magical moments – from the tears of the littlest ones bewildered at his presence to those jumping up and down in glee!
This event is a yearly one put on by the Stow Womens Club and is THE event of the year for the youngest. Coupled with breakfast, a silent auction, face-painting and other goodies, this benefit aides the various charities in Stow – the food pantry, community chest, schools, etc. And what fun for the kids! Frank, our former postmaster, is the jolly guy in red and he loves (and lives) the part. Each kids he gives a little talk to and tells them that ‘Santa will always be there and he is your friend”. Frank, er, Santa, makes sure to read every letter that the kids bring right there in front of them! No junk mail here! Here are some of the hilights of the day – imagine the drama!
As always – parents can download photos (or order more!) from my photocart.
