The Nashoba H.S. drama group (assisted by the Junior Chorus from the local middle schools) outdid even itself this weekend with yet another hit – and this one in Technicolor! Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat played to capacity crowds in the auditorium. It’s hard to know what to comment on first – the marvelous costumes, the amazing set changes, the sheer volume of people on-stage all acting their hearts out! Amazing vocals – clear, crystal clear – and an orchestra to boot (!) all combined to make just an amazing spectacle. Joseph, played by Peter Campo-Basso, had the most wonderful voice and There were many high moments (watch the slide show – I kid you not!) but my personal favorite was watching Nick Sestito perform as the Pharaoh Elvis himself … does he ever have those moves down! The crowd just roared in the first performance when he went into the audience and picked his Spanish teacher to dance with. Then the girls on stage fainted at his touch … but what a touch of comedy when Nico Hammill also fainted (and oh, the look Nick gave him!) All in all an absolutely marvelous performance by a crew of very talented young men and women! (and what a stage crew of techies, too!) Enjoy the pictures.
